I Can’t Wait to Break This

Things I love: great events, fashion, food… breaking stuff? Yup, breaking stuff. Don’t worry, no one will get hurt, because I’ll be breakin’ bread with some great folks.

I’ve been to a lot of local spots, but the foodie in me hasn’t gotten around to trying so many of the well-known restaurants in Birmingham. As much as I love eating out, I still have to find a balance between my budget, time, and available company. (What? I don’t like to eat alone.)

That’s why I’m amped about the 11th Annual Birmingham Originals Breakin’ Bread  Food & Wine Festival this Sunday at Railroad Park. THIS SUNDAY!

For $50, you get access to unlimited food and drink from over 40 local restaurants, a gift card to use at your choice of participating restaruants , and you get to support local charities-  Camp Smile A Mile and Make A Wish Foundation of Alabama. Over the years, Birmingham Originals has donated $85,000 to local charities. Great food for a great cause- did I mention the festival is this Sunday, October 5th  from 1pm – 5pm?

FYI:  This is also a great family event. Kids under 12 get free admission and access to the kid’s area hosted by the Birmingham Zoo.

This year’s  festival also includes a Beer Garden showcasing local breweries and a farmer’s market coordinated by REV Birmingham’s Urban Food Project.

Are you as excited about this as I am? You can purchase tickets here. For more information visit there website www.birminghamoriginals.org.

Well, I don’t know about you guys, but I’m ready today for tomorrow!  Hope to see you guys out at Railroad Park this Sunday. Look out for a review of the event coming soon.

BTW: I’m still looking for some good company, because I can’t break bread alone. Any takers?
